I have read about Laser Blepharoplasty using CO2 lasers. How is this procedure different?The Smart Eyes procedure is not a cutting procedure. The CO2 laser blepharoplasty is simply an old fashion blepharoplasty in which a laser knife is used to cut out the fatty bulge and excess skin. This still requires stitches and a prolonged healing time. With Smart Eyes a small needle size puncture is used to place the laser under the lower eye lid. Our laser then melts the fat pad under the eye and tightens loose skin while also sealing the enlarged veins that cause dark circles.
